Does a permit guarantee that my ceremony will be private? Will we have restricted access to the site? A permit does not give you restricted access to any public venue (such as a park or lake). A permit means that there will be no other events scheduled at your specific location on your date and time. You cannot require that people vacate the entire park, lake, etc. This is considered infringement on their use of public property. With a permit they are however required to vacate your permitted spot, such as a gazebo, pavilion, etc. We have always found that people are very respectful when they see a wedding taking place on public property. You can usually expect applause and cries of "Congratulations!" when you share your first married kiss. If you want a site with exclusive rights, then we'll recommend a private venue.
Does all decor require a permit? Permits are required if there is any setup of wedding equipment, chairs, arches, canopies or decorations.
Are permits included in packages? Permits are not included in our elopement packages (except All Inclusive Ceremony & Reception Package). We do not obtain permits for you, however we will act as your liaison & assist you to obtain permits (if required) at no additional fees due to us.
