Are you familiar with Chattanooga & the locations you recommend? Yes! I have lived in the Chattanooga area for over 24 yrs. & owned several successful wedding service companies here. I have owned Blissful Elopements since it's inception in 2005.
How many guests can I have at my elopement? We define an elopement as 12 guests or less. An intimate wedding is 13-24 guests & 25+ is a traditional wedding. If you intend on inviting more guests to your ceremony or adding on a larger bridal party it will be upgraded to a wedding & additional fees may apply.
Can I have bridesmaids or groomsmen? An elopement usually doesn't have any attendants, however we understand that you may want that "special someone" to stand by your side. You may each have 1 attendant without additional fees, however a larger bridal party requires more coordination, planning & coordinators, so your package will be upgraded to a wedding. Additional fees will apply.
Do you offer sunrise ceremonies? No, we don't offer sunrise ceremonies. Services with decor are available noon - sunset. Intimate elopements without decor are available 10:00am-sunset. Services at indoor venues are available until midnight.
How can you personalize our ceremony? Yes! The ceremony is a critical reflection of the significance of your decision to marry and its importance should be recognized. We are committed to creating a ceremony that is meaningful and delights both of you. Your customized ceremony can be designed from our exclusive 150+ page Ceremony Planning Book. There is no additional fee should you decide to include family to read passages, prayers, poems, etc.
I don't know the area, how do I decide on a location? We have specialized in destination weddings for over 13 years. Our Exclusive Location Report℠ will give you a large selection of over 50 beautiful locations in GA & TN where you can have your ceremony.
Are there any restrictions on where I can have my wedding? The only restrictions are that any of our packages that include decor (arches, backdrops, aisle markers, chairs, etc.) are only available at locations with direct access to parking (park, lake, venue, etc.). We cannot provide decor at any remote locations.
Do we have to purchase our flowers, accessories, cake, etc. through you? No. You may use any vendor or supplier that you like. Our package prices are set when our vendors are used, however we can customize your package to your specifications (additional fees may apply). You are welcome to provide any decor you like, however we can only set up & coordinate items contracted through us. Also, we don't allow you to attach any decor that you provide or contract with outside vendors to items we provide. We offer products for sale to complement your ceremony as a courtesy, not as a requirement.
I don’t have time to plan a wedding. How can Blissful Elopements help? We've created packages that include only the elements that are important to you. We have the largest selection of elopement packages & services in the Chattanooga area. Select one of our prearranged packages & modify it, or create your own. You can plan the entire event, or let us do it for you. It's your decision how involved we get in the planning process, and what elements you want to include.
We'd like a small reception following our ceremony. Can you help? Yes! We have several reception packages to choose from including an All Inclusive Ceremony & Reception Package that includes the ceremony & reception, all decor, flowers, photography, venue, cake, buffet & so much more! This package is perfect for the couple arriving from out of town who aren't able to make all of the arrangements themselves. All you have to do is obtain your marriage license & show up!
What happens if I need to change the date/time? We understand that life happens. We allow 1 date change up to 2 weeks prior to the wedding date. We cannot offer refunds, however fees made will to be applied to your new date (minus any fees paid to outside vendors for permits, deposits, rentals, products or services). Date changes may cause deposits to be lost with outside vendors, permits or products that have been personalized cannot be altered. Date changes may cause additional fees. If you do not reschedule your wedding, all fees made will be forfeit. New wedding date must be within 3 months of original date.
What happens if bad weather occurs? In this part of the US weather can change quickly. In the case of bad weather, we will work with you to find another appropriate venue or possibly change the date. In most cases if you're staying at a local hotel you can usually rent 1 of their meeting rooms with short notice. We begin monitoring the weather 2 weeks prior to your wedding day & begin looking at options if necessary. All of our packages, including arches, can be modified to accommodate an indoor ceremony.
How far in advance do you advise I book your services for my big day? As soon as you’re able! While we have done a number of ceremonies the day after a couple contacts us, we’re able to spend more time personalizing and fitting your ceremony to meet your needs with more lead time. Also, if personalized orders need to be placed or outside vendors need to contracted we need at least 2-4 weeks. The most important part on our end is for you is to reserve your date.
How do you handle cancellations? We understand that life is complicated & cancellations do occur, however if you cancel your wedding at any time, for any reason, all fees paid will be forfeit & if fees are outstanding to vendors or services contracted on your behalf, fees will be due. We are unable to pay your vendors for weddings that are cancelled. We only accept 1 wedding per day & your wedding day reservation may have caused lost bookings for that date.
How do I book your services? We would be honored to assist you with your big day! Call 423-497-6289 or email us to inquire if your date is available. We will email you a contract to be esigned online by both of you & an invoice to pay the deposit. After the contract is signed & deposit is made, we'll email you wedding planning documents, Premarital Course, the Ceremony Book & our Exclusive Location Report℠ . You make all of your color & decor selections & email the forms back to us. We will work with you to design a customized ceremony or you may select 1 of our prewritten ceremonies. We'll place all orders with outside vendors for services, flowers and products included in your selected package. We'll work with you to assist in finding the perfect wedding location. On your big day just show up with your marriage license in hand & we'll be set up & ready to escort you down the aisle!
What are your payment policies? We require a 50% reservation fee (deposit) and a signed contract to secure your date. Final payment is due 14 days prior to your wedding. If your date is reserved 14 days or less from your wedding, full payment is due. Payments are made online & we pay all merchant fees. NOTE: If anyone other than the couple will be making payments they will be asked to sign a separate contract addendum.
Can I choose outside vendors that will be in my elopement package? Our packages are designed with vendors that we have close relationships & experience with. If you prefer to hire an outside professional you will be responsible for additional fees & contracts. We do require that you hire only licensed businesses. Rest assured that we only work with the best.
Can family provide services? Due to insurance policies, we cannot allow family to provide any decor or services with our packages. We require that you only hire licensed businesses to provide services.
Do you meet in person? Meeting in person is not included in our elopement packages, however we are happy to meet with you at an agreed upon location for a fee of $25 (additional mileage fees may apply) & treat you to a cup of coffee! We do provide Skype meetings @ n/c. As destination elopement specialists, most of our couples are coming from outside of the area, or even the country & there isn't time to meet before the wedding.
Do you offer ceremony rehearsals? Due to the relaxed nature of elopements, we do not offer rehearsals as part of our elopement packages. The bridal party arrives 15 min. before the ceremony for a quick run through & directions. This has proven to be all the direction they require. However, if you would like to schedule a rehearsal there is a fee of $50 per hour (additional mileage fees may apply).
Do you perform same-sex marriages? Yes. Our services are available to all couples without regard to race, creed, religion (or lack of) or sexual orientation. There is no difference in package amenities or ceremony outlines, other than possible wording of the ceremony, should you choose. We celebrate love in all forms.
Do you perform Handfastings? Yes, we're delighted to assist with your handfasting! You can find information on our services on our sister site Magickal Handfastings.
May we include our children in the ceremony? Yes! We encourage families to include children in any way they choose. Our Ceremony Book has beautiful vows & passages to include children. We are also happy to include 1 additional vase & 1 additional sand color for the sand ceremony to include the children at n/c.
